A Strawberry Tea Party
A fantastic result – and thanks to all who supported it……………….
On Thursday 29 June, a wonderful time was had by all who attended the Strawberry Tea Party in Doris’s garden and £1500 was raised for St Peter’s triple projects – FSW, Syrian refugees in Greece, and Youth with a Mission in Uganda.
Letter from Joel Gage of Aegean Solidarity Network
Dear Doris, Judy and St Peters Mission Group,
Thank you so very much for holding the amazing Strawberry Tea Party at Doris’ house at the end of June. It was a privilege to be a part of it, and thank you for choosing us as one of the charities you’re supporting. The kindness and generosity of your guests was overwhelming, and we are so grateful for the donation we received.
We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks! We have just provided funding for The Unmentionables working in Chios, and purchased a bulk buy of underwear meaning that every resident of the Souda Camp in Chios will receive 1 if not 2 new pairs of underwear. Considering the amount of people in the camp – this is a fantastic achievement.
We continue to sponsor the hygiene kit programme in Leros. The NGO Samaritans Purse was providing hygiene items for the 400 or so people in the islands hotspot. Samaritans Purse has now pulled out of the island, and we are talking with ECHO100Plus to see how we can fund hygiene items for the residents of the hotspot as well as those in Pikpa.
We have just funded a months worth of food via the Oasis Solidarity Group in Rhodes and continue to pay for food needed for meals for the refugees they are hosting. We have also made a bulk purchase of nappies and ladies sanitary items for distribution from Hope Café for some of the refugees in Athens.
We are helping more and more people and your continued support means we can reach even more. Thank you from all of us, and on behalf of all those you are helping.
