Next Market: Thursday 14 September
Wisborough Green Village Hall 8.45 am – 12.30 pm …..
Summer has well and truly arrived in the village. We’ve had our first heatwave, the lawns are looking a little parched and the children are ready for the long holidays….
The lovely Ian Clemens, known to so many of you, joined us at the market this month with his daughter to sell some of his locally grown vegetables and plants. He had a glorious display of golden beetroot, purple potatoes, heritage carrots, marrows and courgettes aplenty. He deservedly went home with empty baskets and very happy customers. Thank you so much Ian!
Well done also to the MacMillan stall, who always have a bountiful supply of cakes, biscuits and goodies. This month they sold out of everything! I was lucky enough to have a slice of one of their Bakewell Tarts. Having Northern grandparents I’m quite partial and very particular about Bakewell, and it was truly one of the best I’ve ever eaten. If you see someone with pointy elbows, stockpiling them at the next market, it will be me!
We are on the look-out for new stall-holders. If you are a local food producer or crafter and would like to know more please contact Mary at email@example.com
The market is run entirely by volunteers and we are always on the look-out for helpers. If you think you can spare any time at all to keep the market running, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
