Have Your Say on Gatwick Aircraft Noise

Nov 30, 2017 | Local Concerns

CAGNE, Communities Against Gatwick Noise and Emission, embark on a survey of attitudes towards Gatwick’s aircraft noise in Sussex, Surrey and Kent and ask communities to get involved.

Pictured (left) are CAGNE committee members surveying residents about aircraft noise – has it improved or worsened since concentrated flight paths were introduced; should there be a ban on night flights? And do residents support Gatwick’s desire for expansion with or without Heathrow R3?

Communities do not have to wait for a visit from the CAGNE committee to take part as they can via https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TMT5QC9.  The survey will close at the end of December.

Sally Pavey Chair of CAGNE said:  “We encourage everyone that hears aircraft noise, whether it be Gatwick arrivals, departures or both, to take part so that we can produce a truly independent survey of communities attitudes towards aircraft noise.  This survey will then go forward to the Government as part of the Department for Transport call for evidence on how aircraft noise significantly affects lives, wellbeing and the impact it has on residents sleep”.
