Neighbourhood Watch
|
Neighbourhood
Watch encourages people to work together to make their communities safer
and a more pleasant place in which to live. It aims to help people to
protect themselves and their properties and to reduce the fear of crime
by means of improved home security, greater vigilance, accurate reporting
of suspicious incidents to the police and by fostering a community spirit.
This is done by not only involving members of the community but establishing
a close link with the police, as well as local authorities, and other
voluntary organizations. |

The scheme in Wisborough
Green is now well established with an Area Co-ordinator and Road Co-ordinators
in most parts of the village. The Village Co-ordinator maintains a close link
with the NHW office in Chichester, receiving regular newsletters and more specific
or urgent information by telephone. This information is passed onto the Road
Co-ordinators for distribution in their area. If you have any further enquiries,
would like to be involved in the village scheme or would like to make contact
with your Road Co-ordinator, please contact the Village Co-ordinator, Mrs Priscilla
Pinkham, on 01403 700114. Please report any incidents directly to Priscilla
so that she can email details to the road co-ordinators to spread the word more
quickly.
