20 Feb - There has been a burglary in Billingshurst Road - a window was taken out & although the alarm went off the thieves had time to go upstairs & ransack the bedroom.There was no-one in & no lights on.PLEASE LEAVE LIGHTS ON WHEN YOU ARE OUT OR AWAY & EVEN A RADIO ON WITH A TIMED SWITCH. The Police say an alarm is not enough on its own.
1 Feb - A women in Loves Lane, Newpound, returned home to find two men in her garden. She went inside to fined that her phones were not working. The Man ran away towards Loxwood when they saw her. Please will everyone be especially careful at the moment as we have had 4 incidents in the last few weeks .The wall safe in the church was damaged due to someone trying to get into it - luckily they did not succeed. We have also had the copper pipe theft & the oil.Please be careful & lock all windows & doors of house, garage ,sheds etc Priscilla Pinkham

19 Feb - We have seen an increase
in vehicle crime where valuables have been left on display in vehicles. Please
do not leave any items on display this includes; Sat Navs, wallets/purses, mobile
phones, Ipads, laptops and even small change. It is always best to empty your
vehicle of all valuables. Please do not leave any items in your vehicle even
if it is locked on your driveway.
19 Feb - Burglary from outbuildings on the increase.
