Wisborough Green Parish Council Update

Affordable Housing

The Parish Council has recently begun to again investigate the possible location of an Affordable Housing project following further local demand and information provided by Chichester District Council.

We are currently in the early stages of information gathering, both historical and the current options available, also the likely potential planning responsibilities for such a plan.

The Council is very mindful that this is a project that is bound to generate a lot of local discussion and interest. Whilst being aware that our Parish Council Elections in May will result in new members joining us, we have agreed on some principles for the passage of information on this important project.

We therefore will commit to the following within our preparatory process;

• We will engage in open communication with the Parish at all times.

• Consideration to our Village, it’s historical and ecological heritage and the needs of our community, will be at the core of our planning process.

• A planned and measured response will be put to the community as a whole, once all options available have been discussed, for feedback and general approval on any propositions.

• It is our aim to work in partnership with all the appropriate Agencies involved in such a project so we, the local people, can get our voice and thoughts involved early enough in any planning decisions made for the future.

We are committed to keeping this Village a viable and flourishing community, one that is able to support all local residents. We recognise that affordable residential opportunities are important to sustain a thriving Wisborough Green.
