'AD
VINCULA'
The parish magazine of Wisborough Green
St Peter ad Vincula produces a monthly magazine that aims to reach the majority
of parish residents. It provides news of church activities and the monthly church
calendar, but also gives advance news and reports of village clubs and events.
Occasionally there are also articles on broader topics likely to be of interest
to village residents.
The magazine costs just 30p and has a circulation of approximately 440; the majority of these are delivered by hand for an annual subscription of £3.30, but copies are also available for sale each month from the church or from the Wisborough Green Village Stores. The December edition is delivered free of charge to all homes in the parish. The distribution co-ordinator is Peter Corthine (01403 700303, peterjanetc@btinternet.com).
The editorial policy is not to swamp the magazine with advertisements, so the size of each one is mostly limited to one-eighth of an A5 page. The adverts run for a year and pertain to local businesses and services, thus providing a kind of local Yellow Pages for readers. For further details on cost and availability of space, please contact the editor, Sally Bowes, on 01403 701164.
Contributions to the magazine are always welcome and are included at the discretion of the editor. The copy deadline is the 14th of each month for inclusion in the following month’s issue. Written articles can be left at the Church on the chest just inside the main entrance, marked clearly 'for Ad Vincula' or preferably, emailed to Sally at sally.bowes@btinternet.com. For any queries please phone Sally on 01403 701164.
