Friends of St Peter's

Following massive tasks of fundraising over the previous twelve years for the renovation, restoration and refurbishment of the church of St Peter ad Vincula, it was felt that a new initative should be introduced that would provide a regular ongoing income for the fabric of the church, as well as maintaining the social element enjoyed by so many that previous projects had generated - and so the Friends of St Peter's committee was formed, its aim being:

to organise regular events that woud be attractive to, and enjoyed by the whole community.
to use the church building in a more creative way to bring life and value to the village.
to build up relationships with the wider community, whilst at the same time refreshing funds for the fabric of a Grade I listed building.

There will be another full programme of events in 2008
