Good Friday – 29th March

At St Peter’s, the 10 o’clock Good Friday “Together at Ten” All-Age Service took the format of our usual Time for God service with an activity time for all.  We made an Easter Garden in a lid and crafted a Garden Tomb Scene to take with us through the Easter weekend and remind us that on Good Friday Jesus died to take away the sin of the world and in his resurrection on Easter Day he overcame death.  The stone is rolled away and the tomb is empty.  Hallelujah!

After the service hot cross buns were served.

Easter Sunday 31st March

The Church was packed for the Sung Communion Service on Easter Day and full of glorious flower arrangements again after Lent with the Easter Garden in place below the high altar.

After the service, an “eggcellent” time was had by all during the egg rolling competition with the winners in each category (Junior and Adult) receiving an Easter Egg from the vicar.
