Chichester District Local Plan Review

CHICHESTER LOCAL PLAN – IT’S CRUNCH TIME

WE NEED YOUR INPUT BY 29th AUGUST

CDC began the review of their Local Plan (which sets out where new houses will be built in the District) in 2017.

At the start Wisborough Green’s allocation was 25 extra houses, which the Parish Council considered fair and acceptable; in 2020 this was increased to 40, which the Parish Council considered unfair but achievable; then literally just before CDC’s plan was finalised WG’s allocation increased to 75 – on top of the 68 houses delivered in the first iteration of CDC’s Local Plan, the Parish Council is fuming.

Through detailed examination of CDC’s workings and after lodging Freedom of Information requests with the council the Parish Council believes that CDC have made errors in reaching this figure and are finalising a representation to the Planning Inspector.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

  1. Answer a short, two question, survey, the Parish Council will add the results to its representation in the hope that the Inspector instructs CDC to check their figures.
  2. Ask all your neighbours, family and friends in the village to answer the survey as well – spread the word.

This is your last chance to have your say.
