Details given in the Campaign Group Leaflet circulated with the July Ad Vincula Magazine
Planning permission has been applied for to build an industrial scale 100 acre solar park (equivalent to 60 football pitches) straddling Loxwood and Wisborough Green. This will lead to:
- Loss of valuable farmland and landscape views.
Threat to our ancient woodland with its irreplaceable, wildlife rich habitat.
Over 5,400 HGV and other construction vehicles presenting a real danger to the many horse riders, walkers and cyclists who use Drungewick Lane and its connecting bridleways. - Widening of Drungewick Lane and threat to its designated Wildlife Verge with 2 new roads across open farmland.
- Increased risk of flooding to houses.
- Risk of further development once this becomes a ‘grey field site’.
