Village Youth Club

A popular club was run once a week in the Village Hall for a number of years, but unfortunately, due to the inability to recruit paid Youth Leaders as well as volunteers, the club closed in March 2016. The equipment is being held by the Parish Council and there are some start up funds available, so if you are interested in re-establishing the club, please contact the Parish Clerk.

Sport

Cricket: The village Cricket Club offers training and matches to encourage the younger players. Click here for the Club’s website.

Touch Rugby: A successful club is now being run in the village.
More information.

Football: Unfortunately, the Football Club does not currently offer an opportunity to younger players, but would like to re-establish a young players club in the village. If you:

• Would you like to see junior football back in the Village?
• Would you be interested in helping to re-establish?
• Would you be able to commit to regular coaching sessions?
• Could help in some other way – admin/general help?

Please contact the Football Club Chairman, Simon Penfold on 01403 70

A Club is available in Kirdford.

In the UK there are over 400,000 young people involved, with 28 million worldwide, across 216 countries. Scouting promotes the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping young people to achieve their full potential and ‘learn by doing’.
