GILL PARISH

– 31 December 2025)
Following a cancer diagnosis last July, Gill passed away on New Year’s Eve. She had borne her illness with courage and stoicism, backed up by her tremendous faith. So many have commented to me that she was an inspiration to all.
A wonderful celebration of her life was held at a St Peter‘s on 26th January, her birthday! The church was packed with over 200 attending. Donations, in memory of Gill, given to support St Peter’s Church and Midhurst Palliative Care, which funds the Midhurst Macmillan Nurses, were made at the service and also on the website, ‘Much Loved.com’. They have raised in excess of £5,000!
I wish to express my heartfelt thanks for over 100 cards and letters I have received, to all who attended the service and to all who have given so generously in Gill’s memory.
Gill and I have lived in Wisborough Green for 28 years and the love and support we have both received over the past difficult months from the many friends we have made since moving here, is immeasurable.
I take comfort from the fact that she is now free from pain and at peace.
