Sunday 29th March- 3pm- Petworth Palm Sunday Procession
Led by donkeys Ringo and Buster and the Petworth Town Band, the Palm Sunday Procession starts at the Sacred Heart Church, Angel Street at 3pm. It then wends its way through the Town Centre to arrive at St Mary’s Church at around 3.30.
It is a great Walk of Witness through the town and well received by residents, visitors, shop keepers and staff. Palms are supplied for children and adults. Do come and join the Procession and sing some rousing hymns as well as hearing a short resume of the Palm Sunday Gospel story at three different points around the town.
The march will end at St. Mary’s Church with tea and cakes. All are welcome to take part in this lovely traditional event. No booking necessary.
