Film Night at St Peter’s
Following a very successful and well attended Film Night in August, the September Film Night was cancelled due to changes in Government regulations concerning Covid-19 restrictions. We had thought that these new restrictions would prevent us from holding any further Film Nights but it has since been clarified that, as we operate in Covid-secure environment, we are able to continue. We are delighted, therefore, to announce a resumption of these popular film showings in church.

The inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help unite their country. Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid but believes he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport.
This film follows South Africa’s bid to win the 1995 Rugby World Cup which took place in South Africa. Nelson Mandala fights to ensure that Rugby was not going to become a post apartheid problem. Rather it was to be a symbol of unity for all South Africans.
