In a year full of disappointment we are delighted to be able to tell you that we will be providing the village with a moment of light thanks to Aurora Fireworks and St Peter ad Vincula Church this bonfire season. On the very strict proviso that families will be able to watch the fireworks from the safety and social distance of their own homes, we have permission to stage a small fireworks display for the whole village to enjoy in place of our usual fundraising event.

The fireworks will be let off from the usual field and the churchyard, enabling us to provide a high-level display for more of the village to enjoy from their own gardens.

Aurora Fireworks have provided some spectacular displays over the last 25 plus years in the village and, as with all local businesses at this time, they need our support. We are delighted to be able to partner with them to provide this treat for our village and the children at the school, who have been incredible throughout this very difficult time.  Please see their “Bright Sparks for Schools” poster at the bottom of this page for a very special offer that will help our school’s finances.

The display will take place at 7pm on Friday 6th November.

As we all know, gathering in public spaces and large groups is against current guidelines, we therefore ask that you do not gather to watch on the Village Green and other public spaces in the village.

The display will also be available to watch LIVE on the Wisborough Green School PTA Facebook page:

We would ask you to do the following in order to keep everyone safe:

  • Please watch from the safety of your garden or driveway.
  • Maintain strict social distancing and the ‘Rule of 6’.
  • Please keep your pets inside.

Since we are unable to sell tickets or refreshments this year, we kindly ask those of you who enjoy the display to support our school and make a contribution to help us reach our fundraising target of £1000. We would greatly appreciate any donation which can be made via this link:

We thank you in advance for your generosity.

We wish to extend heartfelt thanks to Ian Davies and Rev. Clive Jenkins for allowing us to use the field and churchyard.
