If you have been to the hall recently, you will have seen the plastic mesh ‘fencing’ wrapped around one of the porch supports and the Acrow props providing additional stability.
Unfortunately, the porch was damaged recently by a car reversing into it. The details of the vehicle are known and have been passed to the police.
Unfortunately, however, it appears that the cost of repairs, approx. £1600, will have to be covered by an insurance claim. With an excess to pay, and the inevitable increase to the annual premiums which will result, this is an unwelcome item of unplanned expenditure from already lean budgets.
