The club meets in the Village Hall every Monday (2pm to 4pm) and is a small friendly group of mixed ages and abilities. Since starting up in 2009, the club has grown in both strength and numbers with a current Shortmat bowls membership of around 28. We are always looking for new members.

Monday 13th November: The Club’s Annual Pairs Competition was well attended with 12 teams taking part. The teams played in two groups in a round robin format, with the top team from each group going through to Finals Day on the 15th April. Each team played 4 games of 7 ends, the games were generally competitive with only the top team in each group remaining unbeaten throughout the day.  Congratulations go to Jo Newman/Jean Orrow and Lorraine Berry/Tony Broughton both pairs with 8pts winning their respective groups.

Friday 19th January: We travelled to East Preston losing 24-39. Alan, Linda, Roger and Bernard lost 13-20 and Jane, Dave H, Marilyn and Lorraine lost 11-19.

Friday 25th January: The Club’s Annual Presentation and Dinner was thoroughly enjoyed by 35 members and guests. A lovely three course meal, was accompanied by entertainment from Alan Gibson on guitar and vocals. A quiz throughout the evening and plenty of light hearted and convivial conversation amongst the guests. This was followed by an excellent Raffle and presentation of Trophies.

Sunday 28th January: We entertained Horsham and won 66-30. Colin/Linda, Marilyn, David L and Bernard lost 12-13, Jane, Tony, Lorraine and Jo won 30-10 and Gavin, George R, Roger and Monica won 24-7.

Wednesday 31st January: We travelled to Arundel and won 39-26. Jane, Baz, Linda and Jo won 18-12 and Gavin, Roger, George R and Bernard won 21-14.

Friday 2nd February: We travelled to Pulborough for a one Mat friendly with Baz, Linda, George R and Gavin winning 17-13.

Saturday 10th February: We hosted Fittleworth in a friendly  losing 43-70. Alan, Baz and Marilyn lost 16-25, George R, Gavin and David L lost 14-24, Jane, Linda, Lorraine and Monica lost 12-20.
