This term Years Five and Six are studying World War Two. The children have been enjoying a range of hands–on experiences to help them understand what life was like,
including a visit from Horsham Museum and a WWII experience day.

‘Children were evacuated from the cities for their own safety. Some children were actually evacuated to Wisborough Green.’ Theia
‘It is really interesting learning about rationing. I also discovered that the government sometimes took over school buildings.’ Jack
‘I found out that gas masks contained a dangerous substance called asbestos.’ Aimee
‘We are loving building our Anderson shelters!’ Ella
